I'd say roughly 97% of my wardrobe is from Victoria's Secret and I've got one pair of jeans I picked up at H&M and a hooodie I bought from Boathouse.

Now, I haven't bought new clothes since I was young enough to buy a hoodie from Boathouse, but now some my stuff is starting to wear (my jeans are getting so full of holes you'd think it was the 80s). VS doesn't have a clothing line anymore. Which is such a shame. I HATE shopping and I knew my size there so I could just go online and it was so easy.

Where do people go to buy stuff these days?

Okay, so not only does my dad have an old high school fiend who lives under a bridge and broadcasts his hobo adventures on his youtube channel, but I have an old highschool friend on the other side of the country who follows him.

Okay, I can't be the only one who hates it when they're agonising over an equation or spreadsheet and just can't get it to balance.

Yeah, you know you've been there.

Work has been a bitch to me this week and so I bring you a little nerdy math fun and an excuse you can always use when numbers don't go your way. It's not your fault!! It's because 2 = 1.

Here's the proof.

Suppose a = b.

Given that, a² = ab

a²-b² = ab - b²

using difference of squares we get

(a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b)

when we factor out a-b we get

a+b = b

or, b+b = b

or, 2 = 1.

See? Not your fault all those numbers don't add up!

Heh, as an aside, my partial differential equations prof refused to give me the results on my final exam until I found the error in this proof. Not gonna lie, it took me more than ten minutes. I was nervous, okay?

I actually wrote Dean/Sam!! I wrote some Jensen/JDM as well, which I might post later, but I'm more nervous about that :) This is kind of... I don't know. Based on a prompt from the kink meme, but I went so far off the rails that I'm not sure it's still what they wanted :(

I'd say it was a day and half, but that would be cutting it short. It was more like a week.

Spending nine hours in the ER with your scared child is not anyone's idea of a fun Sunday.

My girl had been suffering a sore throat and mild fever since Friday but by yesterday morning it still wasn't getting better and she was complaining of an earache as well. So, we took a trip to the walk-in clinic. Which turned into a trip to the ER and nine hours and ten nurses and six doctors and an IV with steroids and antibiotics and saline (and eventually some woozy juice for the surgery) and waiting around for the specialist (who was at a different hospital all damn day) who needed to needle out the puss from the back of her throat and a super nice nurse who checked in every few minutes as my daughter was coming out of the anesthesia and he finally sprung us at about quarter to nine at night, when she could NEARLY walk a straight line :)

She was terrified, she was bored, she was strong. She was a real trooper and all the doctors and nurses commented on how tough she was and I'm so very proud of her. But I will forever be haunted by the image of her looking up at me and wanting me to make it all go away and me not being able to.

Plus side, she's feeling much better today.

Got ID'd again at the liquor store today.

Been legally allowed to buy booze for 20 years 😀
